Subject:   The billboard and pamphlet captioned “Vote Kenneth Wang, get Wang + Wong” contain promoter statements for the financial agents for both ACT and Mr Wang. The financial agent for the National Party suggested that the advertisements promote the National Party and stated that neither he nor Ms Wong’s financial agent had authorised the advertising.

Findings and Determination:  Act New Zealand candidate Kenneth Wang’s billboard and pamphlet captioned “Vote Kenneth Wang, get Wang + Wong” do not contain election advertisements in favour of the National Party within the meaning of sections 5 and 65(1) of the Electoral Finance Act 2007.
